Outscore
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Welcome to NOVA CITY, a sprawling metropolis of the near future where the government maintains a CITIZEN SCORE system to control the population.
For residents of the city, their CITIZEN SCORE dictates everything in their life: the districts they can access, the goods they can purchase, the people they can talk to... essentially—their fate.
A RUDE AWAKENING
Play as Alejandro Alex Murillo, an ordinary citizen who's never had to worry about his place in the city—until now. He'll wake up outside the gates of the city and find out his CITIZEN SCORE has been reduced to zero overnight.
To help him reclaim his life and find out who is responsible for this predicament you'll have to find a way back into the heart of the city, into the central offices where everyone's fate is measured and managed... but just how will you do that with no score?
A RETRO FEEL, A MODERN STORY
OUTSCORE is a classic graphic adventure with a focus on its narrative themes and a branching story-line: you'll have to choose between bending to the system's demands in order to improve your CITIZEN SCORE or find your own way into the city—with the dangers this might involve.
OUTSCORE features a dark and moody original soundtrack by the very talented Thomas George.

The game art is awesome!!
May I know the platform and background's source or artist ?
This demo hooked me up quickly. The cyberpunk atmosphere is *chef's kiss* and the story seems very interesting. And idea when the full game or the first episode might be out?
Looks great ! Is there a mac version available ?
Very good!
In love with the setting and the atmosphere of the game! Would you be interested in having Outscore localized into French? :)
I love this game so far, and I wanted to replay the demo with the new features + OST, but my computer is old af and says it "cannot enable MIDI audio". Is there a quick fix?
Hey there, thank you for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the game :)
In some cases, having other apps running in the background with sound sources (your browser, Spotify, etc.) can cause errors like this. I suggest you try closing all other apps and try again!
Oh wow, thanks! It was Spotify, I closed it and its working perfectly now!

coolNice game! I'm looking forward for the first episode.
Well, the game is pretty good, I did like the soundtrack and the graphics overall, it really gives you that cyberpunk feeling. Sad thing is that I could not pass the checkpoint... Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you liked the game!
If you played the first version (if you downloaded the game before last night at 1am GMT), you might have better luck with the latest update, which was designed to lower the difficulty a little bit.
Keeping the game challenging but fair is a fine line to toe, and we're still fine-tuning to make sure we hit the right spot. In the future some of the puzzles might be redesigned, so look out for that too.
Finally, you can always message me on Twitter at @brightfuturebcn and I'll steer you in the right direction :)
I was playing the latest version (1.0.1) already, and after playing it again I found out how to pass the checkpoint, but I must say: "I feel dirty".
I just wish we had a way of passing the checkpoint without being so... Evil.
Well, just don't make the puzzles become too much obvious, it is good to have some challenge.
Already waiting for future updates and more story!
You do have that option :) getting the points is only one of two ways to go through the Checkpoint. I'll try to make this more obvious in future versions.
Thank you for the feedback, new updates are coming soon!
Great game! I love these style games. It is a be tedious to have to restart the game over when you make a mistake. But the story plot is great and nice cliffhanger. Can't wait for the full game!
Thanks so much for the video :) I will say though, you could have finished the demo on your first playthrough, as there are two ways to get through the checkpoint and only one of them requires that you have the points. I'll admit that this should have probably been made more obvious, something to consider for the first patch. A save game system will also be coming in future updates.
I'm really glad you liked the game, hope you'll stick around for the full version :)
Yes! I realized I could have made things a lot more simpler than what my video shows. But that's something I'll have to keep in mind when the full game is released :) Thanks!
